KARACHI (Oct 23): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that Begum Nusrat Bhutto’s services for democracy, the constitution, and public rights are unforgettable.

In his message on the 14th death anniversary of the Madr-e-Jamhooryat, Chief Minister said Begum Nusrat Bhutto was a visionary and courageous personality. “Begum Bhutto’s services for democracy, the constitution, and public rights are unforgettable. she led the MRD movement against the dictator General Zia,” said the Chief Minister.
The Mdr-e-Jamhooryat bravely struggled against dictatorship and raised her voice for public rights, added Murad Ali Shah. Begum Bhutto carried forward the mission of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the Chief Minister observed.

For the restoration of democracy, Begum Nusrat Bhutto endured the hardships of imprisonment, affirmed the Chief Minister. She never compromised on principles, said Syed Murad Ali Shah.

Begum Bhutto inspired women to play a role in politics and public service, remarked the Chief Minister. During the arrest of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Begum Nusrat Bhutto led the party, noted the CM.

Even after the martyrdom of great leader Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Begum Nusrat Bhutto continued the struggle for democracy, added the Chief Minister. Begum Bhutto sacrificed her husband, both sons, and a daughter in the fight against dictatorship, said Syed Murad Ali Shah.
Her name is prominent among those who made great sacrifices for democracy worldwide, stated the Chief Minister.
