CM Murad Ali Shah calls for unity, service, resilience on Eid Milad-un-Nabi and Defence Day

KARACHI (Sept 6): On the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, accompanied by his cabinet members, led two processions, one at Memon Masjid, Bolton Market, and the other at Malir.

Memon Masjid: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah visited Memon Mosque, accompanied by provincial ministers Sharjeel Inam Memon and Saeed Ghani, Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjhar, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, and other prominent leaders, where he offered warm congratulations to the Muslim Ummah.

The CM highlighted the Prophet’s messages of peace, brotherhood, and harmony, offering salutations to the Prophet and his family. He reminded citizens that following the Prophet’s teachings is the path to both worldly and eternal success.

Malir: Earlier, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah joined the grand procession organised by Darul Uloom Mujaddedia in Malir, accompanied by Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani and Mayor Murtaza Wahab. The event was led by Mufti Muhammad Jan Naeemi and attended by a large number of faithful.

Speaking to the media, Mr Shah noted that Muslims globally, including those in Sindh, were commemorating the Holy Prophet’s birth. He described the Holy Prophet’s life as a guiding light and prayed for strength to follow his noble example, urging all to embody service to God’s creatures and adherence to the Prophet’s teachings.

The Chief Minister extended his greetings to Muslims worldwide and prayed for stability and peace for Pakistan, as well as the defeat of its adversaries.

The Sindh Chief Minister’s House shone resplendently in green and white lights in celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, marking the revered birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Syed Murad Ali Shah, in a heartfelt message, described the Prophet’s arrival as the greatest mercy for humanity, urging people to model their lives on the Prophet’s exemplary character, which epitomises equality, brotherhood, and service to mankind. He called on everyone to serve those in need, saying such acts are a form of worship, especially on this auspicious occasion.

Addressing the nation’s ongoing hardship caused by devastating floods, the chief minister emphasised collective responsibility in assisting affected families. He prayed for relief from the destruction and outlined the Sindh government’s ongoing commitment to the service and rehabilitation of flood victims.

Defence Day Tribute: In a separate message marking Pakistan Defence Day, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah paid a solemn tribute to the country’s armed forces. He called Pakistan’s military strength ‘invincible’, recalling the sacrifices, unity, and courage shown during the 1965 war.
Mr Shah affirmed Sindh’s unwavering commitment to the country’s defence, expressing pride in the courage and heroism of the armed forces. He pledged that the sacrifices made by the martyrs would always be remembered and underscored the need for unity to secure Pakistan’s progress, peace, and prosperity.

The Chief Minister’s engagements on this dual occasion served to inspire a collective spirit of unity, service, and resilience within Sindh and Pakistan at large, reinforcing a message of hope, compassion, and national pride.
