Former speaker Sindh Assembly, Agha Siraj Khan Durrani passes away

KARACHI (October 15): Upon receiving the news of the former Speaker's passing, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah visited Agha Siraj Durrani’s residence to offer his heartfelt condolences to the late leader’s son and brother on their irreparable loss.

Chief Minister Shah was joined by former Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Provincial Ministers Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, Saeed Ghani, Ismail Rahu, MPA Imtiaz Shaikh, Syed Qasim Naveed, Qasim Soomro, MNA Khawaja Izhar, Deputy Speaker Anthony Naveed, among others.

During the visit, the Chief Minister met the son and brother of the late Speaker and shared in their grief. He paid tribute to Agha Siraj Durrani, describing him as an outstanding parliamentarian, sincere friend, and noble human being.

“With his passing, politics has lost a towering figure, and this void will be very difficult to fill,” remarked Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

Later, the Chief Minister oversaw the departure of Agha Siraj Durrani’s body as it was sent to Garhi Yasin, Shikarpur district, for burial.
