Sindh CM expresses condolences with KP Governor, CM - calls for national unity amidst natural Disasters
Posted on: 16 Aug 2025 Tags:KARACHI (August 15): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has expressed his heartfelt condolences following the devastating floods that have caused significant loss of life and property in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir.
In discussions with Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Ameen Gandapur, he conveyed the Sindh government’s solidarity with the affected regions during this grave crisis.
Affirming Sindh’s commitment to support its fellow citizens, Murad Ali Shah assured that the provincial government stands ready to provide all possible assistance. Medical treatment facilities have been made available in Karachi for those injured in the floods, underscoring Sindh’s dedication to aiding affected communities.
The chief minister also expressed profound sorrow regarding the tragic helicopter crash near Changai Banda, which claimed the lives of five personnel involved in public service missions. He paid tribute to these heroes, extending condolences to their families and assuring them of continued support from Sindh during this time of mourning.
Chehlum: On the occasion of Imam Hussain’s Arbaeen (Chehlum), Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah reflected on the day’s significance, which is marked by loyalty, sacrifice, and remembrance. He highlighted Imam Hussain’s enduring legacy of standing for truth and justice, describing the tragedy of Karbala as a timeless symbol of patience and steadfastness in the struggle between right and wrong.
Mr Shah urged all to promote peace, unity, and brotherhood, commending the completed security arrangements for mourners.
In a broader context, Murad Ali Shah expressed deep sadness over the losses in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir due to recent cloudbursts and flash floods. He called for a unified national strategy to effectively manage and mitigate the impact of natural disasters, emphasising that the people of Sindh stand in unwavering solidarity with the affected regions.
The Chief Minister prayed for patience, strength, and resilience for all bereaved families, expressing hope that the message of Imam Hussain continues to inspire humanity to resist oppression and injustice.
